Founded in April 2011, the East African Institute of Homecare Management (EAIHM) is strategically located in Githurai 45, just after the railway crossing en route to Progressive. Our campus spans one acre, offering a spacious, conducive environment for learning and recreation. Our team of qualified, professional, and experienced lecturers and support staff are dedicated to providing expert training and guidance. The institute features a unique curriculum developed in collaboration with the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, designed to build professionals in Homecare Management and the wider hospitality sector within East Africa and beyond. Over time, our course offerings have expanded to include Catering, Hairdressing and Beauty, Fashion and Design, and ICT.

As a social enterprise, EAIHM partners with NGOs to develop tailored courses that cater to marginalized groups, including out-of-school youth, women, and refugees. Our goal is to empower these communities by equipping them with skills that unlock employment opportunities and foster pathways to social transformation.

At EAIHM, we emphasize a comprehensive learning experience. Students not only gain expertise in their specific courses but also benefit from essential training in life skills, communication, and labor relations—tools that prepare them to navigate everyday challenges and thrive professionally. All our programs include mandatory industrial attachments, ensuring hands-on experience before graduation. We also provide a variety of short courses for those seeking workplace proficiency. Our flexible study options include regular, evening, and weekend classes, and we can tailor courses upon request.

EAIHM adheres to the standards set by the Ministry of Education and is officially registered under certificate number MOHEST/PC/1439/011. Our programs cater to both Form Four leavers with 'O' Level qualifications and Standard 8 graduates, with strict entry requirements based on the criteria set by various examination bodies. For students needing accommodation, we offer well-furnished rooms and balanced meals to ensure a comfortable stay.
